The newly-weds are likewise dipped in holy ocean and tied to pieces of pale thread,&#8221; sai sin,&#8221; around their ankles. The couple will press their hands together and bow to show respect to their guests.<\/unk><\/p>\n<p>Since this ritual seems to be a very serious affair, many people may find it to be a little intimidating <a href=\"https:\/\/asiansbrides.com\/thai-brides\/\">thai brides<\/a>, but it&#8217;s actually just a customary way for the bride and groom to show their appreciation for their help and respect for their elders. During the ceremony, the couple will also take a merit gift, usually in the form of money, to give to the monks.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the region, a traditional wedding can have different religious elements.
